It is 1:30am and I am awake. It is so hot it is effecting my ability to sleep and I’m the kind of person that is really good at sleeping. I have been trying to keep up a routine of getting up at 4am or 3:30 to cope with the heat and extreme sun. And I am realizing that 2am is actually the sweet spot– up at 4am and it is just all over too soon, 6pm bedtime here I come, just until I get this property in Inland Empire sold and get back up to the Salem, Oregon area.
We are living in a time when the president of the US sells meetings for 1 million dollars to fix laws for whomever wants to buy it: Vape companies wanting to market to minors, a bridge in Detroit/Canada that wanted to shut down its competition, both of them paid their 1 million dollars and got their results.

This is not how the government was designed. This is unfair, illegal and vular.
Our required tax dollars are being given away to contractors with no competition. This is not how capitalism works.
The individual who was allowed to bribe people to vote in the last elections by entering them in lotteries (which is illigal but unprecidented as well) who was not shut down for this bad acting fast enough now just went from being a billionaire to a trillionaire in 1 year.
AI tech is being forced on the people, it isn’t being allowed to develop normally it is being FORCED and this tech requires fresh water to cool the massive servers. It is being given our water.
At a time when we are living with the effects of climate change, our water is being taken by tech billionaires to force their servies on us, and hound us to subscribe.
We are living in a sci fi horror story. Mainly the heat and the water but also the never before seen corruption in this mobster style government here in the states.
I just saw the president call Japan “the Islamic Republic of Japan” during his remarks at the NATO Summit in Ankara on July 8, 2026. He is getting things totaly wrong, getting people’s names wrong, this is a very powerful and important job, and this individual appears to be making a lot of errors. We need leadership, and high standards, that is required.
We are living in a time when lying, mob stye corruption, fear mongering and hate are the fuel of this presidency.
I am down in the SoCal desert prepping property to sell so I can move back up north. The heat is already so bad in earlly July. The a/c that is being used responsibly including a time & effort consuming routine of ventalating during the cooler hours is costing hundreds of dollars already. I have to work at the library for 3 hours a day just to recieve enough deep air conditioning to be well. I have to get up at 2am and go to bed at 6 to function. I am structuring my life around record breaking heat.
I have a bad feeling that a lot of people are going to die from this record breaking heat. We’re already seeing it in Europe.
The hatred that is still burning in the US is a challenging foe. Every 30 years it seems in recent times there is an uprising, we need a powerful leader. The mayor of NYC is working wonders–This is the kind of leadership I’m arguing we need. Watching the hatred work from the outside it is bewildering to comprehend. It does have to be addressed though.
People are overworked, climate change is affecting us all, some much worse than others. -I am being affected extremely this summer personally this time around.
What can we do about the hatred and lying being served up by Fox news, as news which used to be based in facts not long ago? They are telling people it is this group of civilians or that group of civiilains that are the problem.
Well, the real problem is the billionaires not paying a fair percentage of thier income on taxes. We are living through a period of exploitation analogous to the times in London when huge portions of the population have been OVER worked and exploited to the extreem just for a few to enrich themselves on the backs of everyone else.
And the hate zeitguist is piting citizens against eachother when the real villains are the billionaires who spend more money than we’ve ever personally seen just to keep not paying thier share of taxes.
Hate got us here to this point in history. All our social help/rights/ whatever are being taken away: SNAP, healthcare just so billionaires can horde money and resources from us. Is this what all these supporters that voted for this administration wanted? An even greedier redistribution of resources routed to billionaires, and our fresh water given to servers to force more AI services on us than we want.
The US government is so corrupt and his been that way ever since I have learned to pay attention and participate. But now it is 10x or more at least with open paying for meetings with the president for quick favors and crypto money coming in from anywhere in the world unregulated. I urge you to watch this report by: Senator Chris Murphy, linked in this article. He details the last 500 days of unheard of corruption, and he only covers half of the documented incidents.
I understand that people are overworked. There is legislation up being pushed hard by a massive coalition to raise the minimum wage in the US to $25 per hour -the “living wage”, and I am of course thrilled to see that, that will help people to get some of their time back.
A healthy country requires healthy participation. I just had to get all this down. It is very sad to see all this hate hijacking people’s judgement and seeing so many people being manipulated by lies and anger. But I believe in the human spirit. Please realize that the power is with the masses (the citizens), but we have to want it and make activism part of our consciousness and lifestyle to whatever degree we are able. All of us citizens really have no reason to fear or hate each other, it is simply an issue of class. The billionairs are the problem.
We can choose where our money goes. When you support independent artists, local businesses, neighborhood bookstores, farmers/art markets and small creators, you’re helping build alternatives to increasingly concentrated markets. Thanks for supporting independent creativity!
